What this website collects
No cookies are set by this site, and there is no analytics or advertising tracking. You are not profiled, and nothing you do here is shared with advertisers.
Like any website, the server keeps access logs. These record the IP address you connect from, the time, the pages requested, and your browser's user-agent string. They exist to keep the site running securely and are kept for a short period before being rotated away. The lawful basis is legitimate interest — running a website safely is not possible without them.
The enquiry form
The form on the contact page is provided by Studio Ninja, a booking and client-management service. When you submit it, your details go to Studio Ninja, who hold them on Patti Panue's behalf so the enquiry can be answered and, if you go ahead, your booking managed. The information is what you choose to put in the form — typically your name, email address, phone number, and details of your event.
The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Enquiry records are kept while there is a live conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and follow-up; you can ask for yours to be deleted sooner.
Getting in touch directly
If you email, call or message on social media, that correspondence is kept so the conversation can be picked up again. It is not used for anything else and is not passed on.
Other services this site uses
Google Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google's servers, which means your IP address reaches Google when a page loads. Google describes this in its own privacy policy.
Studio Ninja. The contact form is embedded from Studio Ninja, as described above. Their own privacy policy covers what they do with it.
Instagram and other links. Photographs shown on this site are served from this site's own server, not from Instagram, so simply viewing a page sends nothing to Instagram or to any social network. Following a link to Instagram, Facebook or any of the suppliers listed in the directory takes you to a site with its own privacy policy, which this one does not cover.
Photography
Images of previous work appear in the gallery and on social media. Where a photograph identifies you and you would prefer it was not published, say so and it will be removed.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask that its use be restricted, object to it being used, or ask for it in a portable format. Where consent is the basis, you can withdraw it at any time.
To do any of that, email makeup@pattipanue.com. There is no charge, and you will get a reply within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how a request has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page with a new date below.
